Create a snapshot

You can create a snapshot from the image that you are working with. A snapshot is a copy of the loaded image; hence, a snapshot is itself an image.

To create a snapshot, follow these steps:

  1. Load the image that you want to create a snapshot from.
  2. Optional: To receive the latest changes made by other users, in the File menu, click Refresh.
  3. In the File menu, click Save Snapshot.

Note: Your ability to create snapshots depends on your permissions.

  4. In the Save Snapshot As window, select a location, enter a file name, then click Save.

Tip: When you load a snapshot, the Image Selector window contains snapshots as well as other images, such as the image that you load to work with live timetabling data. To help you to identify snapshots, use a naming convention. For example, prefix the snapshot filename with text such as "snapshot_".

  5. Enterprise Timetabler begins its exit process; after it closes, you can load the snapshot. As part of the exit process, you must choose whether your changes to data in the loaded image are saved to hard disk.

Note: Your choice does not affect whether the snapshot contains the changes that you made since you started Enterprise Timetabler.

Result: Enterprise Timetabler exits. The snapshot is created in the location that you chose.
