A copy of the user's image. The user can save this copy in a location that they choose. When a user creates a snapshot of their image, the snapshot contains the timetabling data that exists in the image at that time. The user can load the snapshot into Enterprise Foundation applications and use it independently of the image and the SDB. For example, a snapshot might be used to investigate the impact on the timetable of a "what-if" scenario, such as multiple resources becoming unavailable. By default, the user cannot refresh the snapshot from the SDB that the original image is associated with, or writeback any changes to the SDB. However, if wanted, the connection to the SDB can be restored.
