Hide, reveal, or pin a pane
To maximise the amount of space that is available for panes that you use, you can hide panes that you use less frequently; you can display them again when necessary.
To hide a pane, follow this step:
- In the title bar of the pane that you want to hide, click Auto-hide . collapses the pane to a tab at the top, bottom, or side of the application window.
You can reveal a hidden pane. The pane is temporarily displayed; when the mouse moves away from the pane, the pane is hidden again. To reveal a pane, follow this step:
- Click the tab that represents the hidden pane.
To permanently display a revealed pane, you can pin it. The pane is no longer hidden. To pin a pane, follow this step:
- Reveal the hidden pane that you want to pin. Then, in the title bar of the pane, click Dock .
