Exhaustive travel check

The Exhaustive travel check option controls whether Enterprise Timetabler performs a complete set of travel time checks, when you select an activity in the Activities pane.

If the Exhaustive travel check box is selected, Enterprise Timetabler performs the following travel checks:

  • Can the selected activity's allocated student sets travel to each of the activity's possible locations, by the specified start time?
  • Can each of the selected activity's possible staff members to travel to each of the activity's possible locations, by the specified start time?

After the checking is complete, Enterprise Timetabler displays blue diamonds to indicate valid start times.

If many staff and locations are suitable for the activity, Enterprise Timetabler must check a large number of permutations. The travel checks will cause a noticeable delay when you select the activity.

If the Exhaustive travel check box is not selected, then Enterprise Timetabler will display blue diamonds more rapidly. However, some start times might not be viable, because staff or students do not have enough time to travel to the locations that are available at that time.
