Edit a department, suitability, tag, zone, activity type, or cost band
Depending on your permissions, you can edit the properties of a department, suitability, tag, zone, activity type, or cost band.
The geographical structure of your institution might be hierarchical. In the following example, the Computing Building zone is part of the North Site zone. In EDRDM, each zone has its own Zone property; in this property, select the parent zone, if applicable. The location that allocates to an activity must have a zone that matches or is part of the activity's zone.
Similarly, the departmental structure in your institution might be hierarchical. For example, the Spanish department might be part of the Language School. In EDRDM, each department has its own Department property; in this property, select the parent department, if applicable.
To edit the properties of an item, follow these steps:
- In the main EDRDM window, find the Institution area.
- In that area, find the relevant row. For example, the Departments row. In that row, click Show. EDRDM opens a list of items.
- Find the item that you want to edit, then modify its properties. If a property that you want to modify is not present,
add it to the table.
- To save your changes, click Apply. Or, to save them and close the window, click OK.
Note: If you have not yet clicked Apply and your changes are no longer required, click Discard; EDRDM removes your changes. Or, to discard your changes and close the window, click Cancel.
