A specification of a set of costs that are incurred by departments, when a resource that is associated with that cost band is used. For example, a seminar room might be assigned a 'Small location' cost band, which specifies separate and different hourly costs depending on whether the resource is used by the owning department, by any other department, or for an external booking. When a resource is allocated to an activity, the resource's cost contributes towards the total cost of the activity.
