Edit equipment, locations, staff, and pooled resources

Depending on your permissions, you can edit the properties of an item of equipment, location, member of staff, or pooled resource.

To edit the properties of an item, follow these steps:

  1. In the main EDRDM window, find the Resources area.
  2. In that area, find the relevant row. For example, the Locations row. In that row, click Show. EDRDM opens a list of items.
  3. Find the item that you want to edit, then modify its properties. If a property that you want to modify is not present, add it to the table.

    Tip: Use the Named Availability property to specify when the resource is available for allocation to activities. You can select an existing named availability pattern or create a custom pattern. Availability is a hard constraint; the resource cannot be allocated when it is unavailable. If the resource unavailability described by your chosen pattern overlaps with an existing allocation of the resource, a scheduling problem is generated.

  4. To save your changes, click Apply. Or, to save them and close the window, click OK.

    Note: If you have not yet clicked Apply and your changes are no longer required, click Discard; EDRDM removes your changes. Or, to discard your changes and close the window, click Cancel.
