A student set is a group of students that share a common timetable or set of activities.
The primary purpose of the student set in the planning process is to ensure that activities are kept clash free. The fact that a single student set is associated with two or more activities will prevent them from being scheduled at the same time.
In addition, time-based constraints and soft preferences can be applied to student sets. For example, you can specify that the timetable of a specified student set must:
- Be scheduled in such a way that students have a day per week with no teaching commitment.
- Contain an even spread of activities across the week, if possible.
