Create the curriculum plan

The process of creating a timetable begins with creating the curriculum plan. The curriculum plan defines the structure of the teaching offered by the institution. For example, it defines modules, and describes which programmes of study each module is part of. It also contains student sets and students, which represent the people who are studying at the institution.

The following list summarises the process of creating the curriculum plan. Note: Your institution might not use all the elements that can comprise the plan. So, the process that you follow might differ from this list.

  1. Add modules
  2. Build programmes of study
  3. Plan pathways
  4. Describe activity templates
  5. Generate activities
  6. Generate student sets and allocate them to activities
